Increase in crime rates calls for new strategies, complete change of mindset, strong ethical values, very strict enforcement, and strong, effective leadership to enhance safety. I’m gratified that the Royal Malaysian Police responded well to this call and came on board to be part of our NKRA.

It was a historic moment this day as some 4,000 applicants from the Indian community received their citizenship identification documents after decades-long wait. The MyDaftar campaign has successfully met its objective in addressing long-standing issues of statelessness.

I launched the SAMUR project (Ammonia Urea Sabah Petronas) in Sipitang, Sabah today. It is a world-scale project, which would bring several changes to the Sipitang area upon completion. An estimation of 1.2 million tonnes of urea will be produced there annually and amounting to some US$4.8 billion yearly in export value.
