Prime Minister Najib Razak’s vision to integrate public transport services in Malaysia would be incomplete without transformation of the bus services. As one of the more popular mode of transport, bus services form an integral part of the National Land Public Transport Master Plan.
To name a few of the government’s key initiatives, stage buses in Klang Valley underwent the Bus Network Revamp (BNR) to improve its coverage and efficiency. GoKL buses provide free services for passengers travelling within the KL Central Business District; Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is the country’s first elevated electric bus service designed to enhance mobility for commuters and reduce traffic congestion.
myBAS on the other hand, is a new stage bus business model that ensure its routes take into account passengers’ needs rather than the traditional commercial considerations. myBAS provides services in key cities across Malaysia namely Kangar, Seremban and Ipoh.
